10 Most Obscure She-Hulk Marvel Comics Villains

She-Hulk faces some obscure villains in She-Hulk: Attorney At Law, but they’re nothing compared to the obscure enemies she fights in Marvel Comics. While Man-Bull, Leap-Frog, and even Titania may have some fans scratching their heads, they barely scratch the surface of D-List villains she’s fought in the comics. Given the show’s comedic tone, some likely appear in the MCU.

She-Hulk fights powerful and iconic supervillains in the comics on her own, with the Avengers, or the Fantastic Four. But her comic book adversaries on balance lack the star power that the rogues’ galleries belonging to her peers do. They still make for great fun and learning about them will give MCU fans a heads-up on the future.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

10/10 She-Droid

She-Droid appeared early in Jennifer’s comic book career, debuting in The Savage She-Hulk #2. The She-Droid didn’t make a great impression though, falling into obscurity immediately after. The android She-Hulk stands a chance to appear in the MCU though if the franchise adapts tragic circumstances from the comics.

Another villain, Nick Trask, built the robot She-Hulk to frame her for murder. He also killed Jennifer’s mother, something that could potentially happen in the MCU.

9/10 Volcana

Volcana first appeared in the 1985 Secret Wars, among the best Marvel Comics events ever, alongside Titania. Titania made a much stronger impression on readers, though. Still, her connection to Titania, with both products of experiments by Doctor Doom, may open the door to her appearing in live-action.

Volcana’s powers likely translate to the screen well. She transforms into volcanic magma, generating massive energy and heat. She also hardens her skin into dense volcanic rock, making her difficult to defeat.

8/10 Xemnu

Xemnu likely registers with some Marvel Comics fans, as he counts among the most powerful Hulk villains In Marvel Comics. But he remains far more obscure than other key Hulk enemies, despite the fact he recurs as a villain for him and She-Hulk both. She-Hulk faced off against him during The Sensational She-Hulk series in the late 1980s.

Xemnu’s obscurity doesn’t diminish his quality as a villain. With the ability to control minds and project false realities, he makes for a great villain given She-Hulk: Attorney At Law’s interest in the themes of identity and perception.

7/10 Awesome Andy

Awesome Andy began life as the Android built by The Mad-Thinker, a powerful Fantastic Four villain. He fought the team on several occasions, beginning with his first appearance in Fantastic Four #15 back in the Silver Age of Comics. He later went his own way and worked with She-Hulk at the law firm GLK&H in the early 2000s Dan Slott run that inspired the MCU show.

He stands a good chance of appearing in the MCU for all those reasons. His powers and unusual visual design also lend themselves to an interesting screen adaptation.

6/10 Ultima

Ultima joined the Marvel Universe in Savage She-Hulk #9 with similar strength and endurance to She-Hulk. This led to epic fights between the two, but didn’t elevate Ultima to star status among villains. She fought She-Hulk on behalf of her villain father, who trained her from a young age to foster her powers and abilities.

Her power makes her compelling in the MCU, but as Titania has shown, the character needs a hook beyond simply matching Jennifer’s power. That makes it hard for Ultima to join live-action.

5/10 Nosferata

Nosferata works perfectly within the generally more comedic bent in She-Hulk: Attorney At Law because she’s a Batman parody. Co-created by Howard The Duck creator Steve Gerber, she debuted in Sensational She-Hulk #19 with no superpowers but a bat-themed costume, weapons called Nosferatarangs, and even a bat-car called the Nosferato.

While Nosferata may not count among the best Batman equivalents in other comic book universes, she potentially fits in with the off-kilter villains that She-Hulk fights in the MCU.

4/10 Man-Thing

Comic book fans know Man-Thing plays an important if obscure role in the horror corner of the Marvel Universe. He defends the Nexus of All Realities, an interdimensional gateway located in a Florida swamp. His station prevents him from fighting most Marvel characters but he and She-Hulk faced off in The Savage She-Hulk #8.

Man-Thing’s obscurity likely ends in 2022. He joins the MCU with Werewolf By Night, appearing alongside several other prominent Marvel horror characters who all emerged in the 1970s after the Comics Code Authority lifted some restrictions. His MCU debut puts him in a position to fight She-Hulk someday.

3/10 Ruby Thursday

Ruby Thursday stands a chance of not only being She-Hulk’s most obscure Marvel Comics villain but her strangest as well. This former scientist replaced her own head with a malleable red ball that can change shape at will. Her intelligence and devotion to technology make her interesting, at least.

She first appeared in Defenders #32 and battled She-Hulk on numerous occasions in later comics. Her bizarre visual appearance could make her an intriguing choice for the MCU in the future.

2/10 Behemoth

Some comic book fans may know Behemoth as Man-Elephant. This obscure She-Hulk villain debuted with that name in Savage She-Hulk #17 in 1981. He initially started out as a regular human wearing a massive suit of armor that resembled an elephant, but when he obtained the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak, he got superpowers.

The gem produced Juggernaut, among the best X-Men villains, so Behemoth possesses the strength to fight She-Hulk. He also owns the fun weirdness that the show seems to enjoy in its villains.

1/10 Band Of The Bland

The Band of the Bland embodies obscurity among She-Hulk villains. This supervillain team, including Doctor Angst, Black Hole, Sitting Bullseye, The Spanker, and Tillie the Hun began as Howard the Duck villains. When Gerber took over The Sensational She-Hulk, he brought them back for a multiversal adventure.

Their goofiness and connection to the multiverse make them potential candidates to appear in the MCU, but as obscure villains go, they have few peers in Marvel Comics.
